No account, no cookies

ColorComposer has no user accounts and sets no cookies. Your palettes stay in your browser (local storage) and in links you copy yourself. The browser also stores which price offer you were shown, how many free palettes you have used, and your license key if you bought one. You can delete all of this at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

Hosting

The site is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Berlin, Germany. Like every web server, it processes your IP address and request data to deliver the pages and keeps short server logs for security. [Speicherdauer laut Strato-Vertrag ergänzen]

Visitor counting

We count visits and a few clicks (opening the tool, clicking Buy) with [Plausible Analytics, Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia, servers in the EU]. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data or IP addresses; we only see totals.

Buying and license keys

Payments are handled by Creem ([company name and country from creem.io/terms]) as merchant of record. When you buy, you enter your details on their checkout, under their privacy policy. To unlock the full version, your browser sends your license key and a short name for the browser (for example "Safari · macOS" and the date) to our server, which checks it with Creem. Creem stores that name with the key so the buyer and we can see where the key is active. Every two weeks the check is repeated.

Fonts

All fonts are served from this website. No requests go to Google or other font services.
